life is coincidental

Example 1: On Monday morning, I read this article about parent-folk thinking they're having one type of baby, and then ending up with the other. On Monday night, I found out that our friends, whose ultrasound seemed clear that they were having a boy, in fact gave birth to a girl.

Example 2: Both on the way to and from work today, I sat on the bus next to men who fell asleep and snored. What are the chances?

all i want for president's day ...

... is a new president.

In other news: As I exited a bus in Fremont last night, the person getting off behind me ran into my shoulder in her hurry to disembark. It was the bus driver, who apologized by announcing, "This is my can stop!" as she picked a few discarded aluminum cans out of the bus-stop garbage before getting back on the bus and driving off.

more fun on the bus

Today while on the bus I saw a building? business? agency? called far4. Which really, on a glance through a moving-bus window, looks like "fart." Bad idea, far4.

finally!

Today was notable for two reasons:

1. A stranger on the bus asked me to scratch an itch he couldn't reach in the middle of his back.

2. Our prodigal camera cord has returned!! So, with no further ado, a random sampling of the goings-on of the past six weeks:

Which vegetable does Mrs. Galore resemble when wearing this hat? We are currently taking suggestions in comments.

A very intense game of tabletop football (note wee goalposts) ...

... ends in victory for both teams!

Mr. Galore now has blue hair:

We'd post more pictures, but our camera cord lives in Oregon. The one above, courtesy an iMac built in camera.
