political season
Screw the Democrats and Republicans, the Independents and the Greens. We're going to start the Dinner Party (focused on hunger issues), House Party (housing), Work Party (jobs), Garden Party (agriculture), and Frat Party (education). Nominations for other kinds of parties are welcome.

Don't forget the Wedding Party (family values), Block Party (neighborhood grass-roots organizing), Cast Party (healthcare access), and Pity Party (when it just gets too overwhelming - these are the folks to which we turn!)
